At Bearwardcote Hall we strive to provide the highest quality of life as well as individual care, with a view to maintaining each resident’s individuality and independence in a safe, comfortable and supportive environment.
We ensure each resident’s right to personal choice is maintained, especially in relation to activities, their home environment, dietary needs and preferences, etc; along with respect and support for an individual’s religious, political and cultural perspective.
We actively promote and encourage our residents’ influence on the running of their home through regular resident discussion groups questionnaires, etc, and from residents’ advisors and family.
All rooms at Bearwardcote Hall are single, most with en suite facilities. All rooms are individually furnished and residents are encouraged to personalise them in any way they wish.
At Bearwardcote Hall the training of our staff is constant and ongoing. Starting with a thorough induction course consisting of essential aspects of care – including first aid, lifting and handling, fire training, safe handling of medicines, food hygiene, infection control and many more – staff then work their way through National Vocational Qualifications to the highest standards, as provided and legislated by the Care Quality Commission [CQC].
The meals and snacks our residents enjoy are provided by our experienced and devoted cooks, who are always trying new dishes while continuing to serve up old favourites as well. All dietary needs and preferences are catered for – if you are vegetarian or diabetic, or just don’t like carrots, it’s not a problem. Due to our location we are able to source a lot of our produce through local farmers so as to ensure freshness and quality. We know how important good food is to health and quality of life, and at Bearwardcote Hall it is a top priority.
