Our brand-new visitor ‘pod’ is open and ready for business! The ongoing covid crisis has meant that visiting our loved ones has been disrupted this year. At Bearwardcote Hall we realise that contact with loved ones at such a time is a lifeline for our residents, their family and friends. This is why we came up with the idea of building a visiting room, or ‘pod’, that enables visitors to see and speak with their loved ones in safety, in such a way that enables a private visiting experience, while ensuring protection from possible infection. The visitor[s] are seated behind glass inside the pod where they can speak via an intercom to the person[s] they have come to visit. It is a simple and safe method to ensure that our residents can maintain contact with their family and friends during these worrying times, contact which is so essential for mental wellbeing during this period of social restrictions that we are all experiencing.
If you are the relation or friend of someone at Bearwardcote Hall and want to visit them using our new visitors pod, please telephone the home on 01283 734669 to book yourself a time slot. In the interests of infection control, we do ask that the number of people per visit is restricted to two. Antibacterial products are provided, and we must ask that visitors please wipe surface areas before and after using the pod.
